ICVolunteers

Interns exploring the world through Volunteering!

Just when you think that your studies are becoming a bit of a drag and all you want to do is just get done with your course work and start earning a living, your lecturer tells you that as part of your course you have to do 3 months of volunteering and the volunteering is to be done in another continent; but there was no regret when we decided on Africa and experienced South Africa because of Volunteer Centre.

Volunteer Centre Welcomes the World - 2010

The Volunteer Centre has been welcoming the world into our local communities for more than 5 years. This has been done by mobilizing international volunteers at local projects in various communities.

Hauska tutustua! Nice to meet you!

My name is Milla Puharinen. I come from Finland and I have been volunteering in Cape Town from September 2007. My sending organisation in Europe is ICYE (Intercultural Youth Exchange) and in Cape Town, South Africa my host organization is the Volunteer Centre.

Julie Marchand - Volunteer from France

While studying at Rhodes University, Julie joined the UN society and worked on the Millennium Development Goals for a year.
